Your tour of Sparta was outstandingly done, especially considering all the research, and the positioning of present day shots followed by clips from the movie that made the experience quite informative. Great film, and especially love how you edited in the movie scenes to the present day scene, showing how the match. Very impressive. You should have taken the tour at Trim. We did that several years ago. You missed that one of the scenes was filmed inside the keep. It's the one where Edward tosses Piers out the window to his death. You go into the room as part of the tour and they tell you about it. I still maintain the crowd cheering for Wallace's death at the end is made up of historians, calling for Mel Gibson's death LOL. It's a great film, but one of the most historically inaccurate ones I've seen.

I'm a bit hurt that the movie wasn't actually filmed in the house I've adored since I was 4.

Love this video. Back in 1999 after film released I found the hill at Thame Park (living in Aylesbury at the time) and matched up shots. All could find on internet was that a wheatfield near Marlborough was used. Any chance you know where the scene was filmed where the platoon come across the downed helicopter near the woods and asking about where Ryan is. It looks like Thame Park also.

Re: the telephone poles... The power company probably had trouble with wind whipping off Kaw Lake, thus changing the bare power line cable for aerial bundled spacer cable. The new method looks horrible but its more reliable.

Twister was the first movie I ever saw in theaters I was 3 but remember watching it at a drive in from back if a wood trimmed station wagon

I was stationed just down road from Nineveh. I remember standing with my son who was a toddler then on corner where school sat.
